I tripped getting into the shower this morning and smacked my face off the side of the tub. I looked and felt awful after it happened and decided to go see a doctor to get myself checked out. Luckily it’s just a minor concussion and a hematoma over my eye. The doctor told me to take it easy for a couple of days but I have an important presentation this afternoon. Should I just bite the bullet and go in to do the presentation? Or do you think it’s acceptable to skip the presentation and take the day off? I’m worried it might send the wrong message.

Learn to code, you can do it for free, once you are decent at coding ((can build projects without consulting google for low level stuff)) you can start thinking of ideas that will sell even little things or you can steal someone else’s idea and do it better. It is not easy but it will give you returns better then anything you would find on this god forsaken board

I have worked with three other friends in a development studio for almost a year. It is incredible, and everyone is having a great time. We rented a house where we go to work; things are going ok; sometimes, we make 6k mo each, and sometimes, we struggle to make 2k each.

But 2 hours ago, I got an email with a job offer for 96k/year, but the catch is I will be back to the waggie caggie and will feel miserable doing the same shit I do today.

Should I settle for 30~60k/year and stick with my team, or should I surrender to the ""J"" machine and sell my soul for 40k a year?

I am very inclined to stay with my people doing things at our own pace, but if I don't take the offer, they might offer the job to one of my colleagues, and they might accept it and destroy the morale of our newborn company.
