the payouts are based on total volume on the COSS.IO exchange, which is currently really low since it's a new exchange and still being improved.

Dividends are 50% of the transaction fees, paid out every week. It's based on your fraction of COSS holdings compared to the total supply of COSS.

When I had ~20k COSS I was getting like $5 worth of dividends a week (roughly, it's in assorted crypto so hard to be exact) but have since bought more COSS.

This is one where its medium risk and extremely high reward potential. If the devs improve their exchange and do things to bring in huge amounts of traffic it'll cause the trade volume to go up, which will cause dividend payouts to increase, which will cause COSS price to increase. Something like 20-50x is very possible. Of course if the devs suck ass and don't do anything this will stagnate and slowly bleed. It just depends how they handle things over the next few months.

I'm new, and so far haven't bought anything, just trying to see how it all works, observe volatility, that kind of thing. For an exercise I made a Blockfolio profile and distributed $10k (which is what I'll likely invest) among a bunch of different coins that I read up on and looked good. This was a couple weeks ago and my $10k had actually gone up to $14k just leaving it alone. Anyway the last couple days it's crashing, especially altcoins, and I'm wondering why some are so extreme? Like QTUM is down like ~30%, Kyber is down ~35-40%, these two examples seemed like reasonable coins to me and I get that when BTC increases, altcoins will tend to decrease but these percentages seem pretty drastic.

If anyone feels like throwing me a bone I'd appreciate an explanation as to how this dynamic works and why some of these coins seem to get hit so hard. Is it temporary? Will they restore to the same price as 2 weeks ago? Or have they reached a new floor and could stabilize there in relation to BTC currnet price?

Rune Evensen has been replaced hahahaha. No more shady CEO, you guys are retards. That was your single argument against COSS, "MUH CEO!" but now watch suddenly there's going to be a whole swath of new shilling complaining about something else.

Face it if you aren't a COSSplayer you're a faggot! Buy now or die poor. The choice is yours
