This sort of thing is completely fucked. Even if there is somebody who is outright shilling, the ban shouldn't be permanent (a very lengthy ban is much more understandable/reasonable) and the ban shouldn't be from ALL BOARDS

I've been banned for "shilling" before too when I very obviously was not. In fact I was asking questions about shilling (i.e. what is considered shilling on this board? what is NOT considered shilling? is simply posting about a crypto shilling? does it have to be a BASE crypto, or a SOL token for it to be a shill? etc.) It's a fucking crime that they can permanently ban people FROM EVERY BOARD for simply wanting to discuss crypto

>too stupid or poor to use said crypto to purchase something that costs $20 a year

That's not the reason people are against this and you fucking know it. You're either being a retard on purpose or you're too fucking stupid to understand.

People want to post as anonymously as possible. Once you start requiring ANYTHING remotely resembling KYC (email, bank account/crypto wallet to purchase 4chan pass) you start losing anonymity.

Obviously an IP address can somewhat track you but up until now people were free to use VPNs and it wasn't such a big deal. Now, they can link your email address to your IP and your location. The new requirements to post will collect so much more personal data than people realize. Users on /biz/ are no longer "anonymous"

I'll hold BAT to zero. It was always the make it or break it plan for me. I don't get angry or sad or disappointed anymore. I like most of the Brave team and I unironically think they're doing their best and working hard in a new tech area that's full of landmines, retards and an unfair playing field.

I can't stress this enough - we need a new administration with a completely gutted SEC that's rebuilt from the ground up. Without some sort of regulatory guidance, Brave/BAT (and crypto in general to a lesser extent) don't stand a fucking chance. The sooner Americans realize and understand this, the better. The game is currently rigged against you regarding crypto.
