If the answer were straight forward and simple...we'd all be rich and happy doing what we love. Thats obviously not the case and it most likely never will be. The market is an ocean. Its filled with waves and sharks constantly pushing and pulling on you trying to topple you over.
As far as trends go...its becoming increasingly more obvious that we are entering an age of employment servitude. Gone are the days of starting your own business or building a self sustaining presence within trade. All of that has been monopolized by the handshake between big business and the state. If you do not have connections with either bb or state....you will be constantly attacked from all sides and angles imaginable. Licenses, payroll taxes, minimum wage, health insurance, regulations, etc. are all designed to limit your ability to compete in the arena of commercializing goods and services. The internet was the last frontier to work around this but that to has been swallowed up by this monolith. Even simple service jobs such as freelance coding or artistry has fallen victim to this.
Im not trying to blackpill you on this. Just simply trying to say that there is no easy answer and you really need a plan of action because you will only really have one shot at it. If you dont and decide to jump into something head first...just be know what youre getting yourself into so that you can atleast swim in the right direction and avoid fatal incidents along the way. Pursuing sovereignty in the modern age we find ourselves in is a very high risk/high reward game. If you fail, you will most likely set yourself back irreparably...or worse.

Also. Its not necessarily about what you like or what you want. You need to enter the market with the eyes of observation instead rather than the eyes of implementation.

You should have told him to buy LINK at the end and/or did some shilling. Even some baneposting would have worked out.

Yeah I'm not too bummed about the total loss, just the fact that my graph has been red since the start of my new venture. Thinking about buying in JBLU if it goes back down enough.

The jump after the patent was nice, if they get the other they're hoping for & biopharmx9000 or w.e passes phase too it's going to hit at least $1.50

also commodities are going to get hit today with the Chinese response

Ethereum, on the other hand, has started its rise more quickly than I believed it would. I had not anticipated that actual uses for the Ethereum network would arrive so quickly. While it's impossible to determine conclusively the cause for any market movement, The DAO has brought in hundreds of millions of dollars into Ethereum in just 20 days. The unprecedented success of The DAO suggests that much of the current Ethereum rise is not caused by speculation. Unlike with speculative buying, ether that goes into The DAO is unlikely to go back out because the quorum for The DAO is so high that tokenholders will not be able to agree to spend it. DAO ether is effectively "locked up" for the long term.

I'm taking a financial econometrics class as well as a data mining class (computer science). For both classes, I have to submit a project and a paper. Given the similarities, I was thinking of just combining the two and make a single project on both topics.

Does anyone know how to use data mining on financial data outside of regressions?

How do I stop having shitty luck with all of my investments? Literally every time I invest in a stock, it plummets. Or even when I place a bet on a prediction market with very safe margins (ie Trump or Hillary having a 90% chance of winning a state) some bullshit happens and they lose.

Why can't I find any reliable ways to invest?
