you want to look at what would probably be a psychological barrier
think of yourself
"I want to sell this when it hits .05"
so around these markers youll see times when it approaches this number and all it would take is one fucking whale who bought it at .001 who is happy at about .05 to make tihs the barrier that it doesnt go over for a month.
youll see tons of volume and this whale selling into it over and over and over then eventually it blasts off

thats just one example. TA is all about identifying this type of psychological milieu in the form of repeatable patterns that keep showing up.
i think it still works in crypto because the volume and exchanges are weird and obnoxious. i doubt it still works on wall street because the geniuses have programmed out all of our psychological quirks with incredible automated AI and are also doing a bunch of diabolical abusive things because of the money involved there.
