>Modern commemoratives are just collective boredom, both from the mints and the buyers.
That absolute audacity these mints have to give their artificially rare, mass produced, direct-to-collectors "commemoratives" the same premiums as actually valuable coins is beyond my understanding. There are so many of these sorts of bland, cash grab commemoratives out there that in 100 years time I guarantee that your descendents will be able to get them by weight for spot.

>Then what do millennials buy and what do zoomer buy I wonder?
Virtually none of them buy anything coin related to begin with.
I suppose the few Millenials and Zoomers who buy coins tend to disproprtionately buy overpriced modern commemorative medallion "coins" (e.g. Star Wars coins, Germania Mint, etc.) instead of Bullion or actual Numismatics given the rise of this type of coin in the past few decades. I suppose it reflects broader cultural trends as well.

Will the non-circulating collectors coins churned out by mints nowadays ever have any numismatic value?
