>that set is fucking sweet bro
Thanks scrapfren, i'm really glad i could score this one.
>how long did you spend cleaning them up?
Not much in truth, maybe 10-12mn? I used my bottle of Argentil for polishing, which is super efficient. And thank god it didn't take longer, because the petrochemical elements are pretty violent and tend to make my head spin after few minutes, like if i sniffed a 1L bottle of white spirit lol.

>That old continental silverware is remarkably beefy
Those are among the heaviest from my collection for this size, they weight around 94-95gr each. I noticed the weight is conditioned by the model. The "filets" (with a contour line) silverware are pretty much always around 90gr. But "uniplat" are often lightweighted, sometimes as low as 50gr!

You are probably right about the natural wear, i'd like to have the tines restored if it doesn't cost too much, but i'm not fooling myself, a craftman would probably charge me a fortune for it. Maybe more than what i bought it for...

Cute spoons in your pic. They are from the US? The ones with the floral theme kinda remind me of few early XXth art nouveau.

Btw fren, i'm contemplating acquiring my first antiquity coin. I'm thinking of this Ptolemee IX Soter II Tetradrachm if the price is nice, because i love this period of greek/macedonian occupation of Egypt. The condition is far from top notch, but it's fine for dipping toes. Is this a good idea?
What would be the max bid i should make to consider it a (very?) good deal to your opinion?
