for the leveraged etfs, it has to do with the fact that they use futures contracts to try to match a certain performance, but really they're just nerds with computers doing the best they can

there is no experience, just like there is no experience for infinite QE. that's the reason to be worried

in the US specifically, I do trust Jerome at the helm of the Fed to make proper decisions in regards to the monetary supply and the fed balance sheet
fortunately, that is the most important single position to have a competent and stable person in.
unfortunately, there is instability, weakness, and incompetence just about everywhere else.
It's an upside-down state of affairs when the US Federal Reserve is the only institution you can trust. besides that, crab crab crab everywhere . monetary policy can only go so far under its current mandate, they don't have another lever/knob to bring down corporate and consumer debt (which are the next time bombs)
