It has different meanings for different people and now the general stereotype of it being equivalent to a nazi flag. For most people who enjoy the flag its a symbol against big government and stands for true freedom.

The pic related to this post is the flag of the Confederacy. The "rebel flag" from the previous pic was used as a battle flag during the US Civil War. I'm from the Pennsylvania and in High School the "redneck" wannabe kids would have rebel flag stickers on their big bad lifted diesel truck.

The truth is the meaning of it is lost. Sure some people who fly it are racist but they are idiot white trash anyways who should just be ignored. You look at what's going on in the US now with black lives matter neomarxist movements and antifa shit. It's all relevant as to why the south wanted to become their own nation in the first place.
