The reason the "not turning a profit for a decade" work with some software companies is ultimately because they are a platform
>Microsoft, apple
OS is their platform
>Twitter, facebook
They are a platform for communicating/social media
>Netflix
Platform for entertainment
>Amazon
Platform for purchasing things/computing power
>Uber/lyft
trying to be a platform but the other is cockblocking it
It works for these companies because their products value is tied to how many people use it.
Palantir products dont get better with more people using it, that mentality won't work, and itll ultimately be a wework, a decent software company but one that must turn a profit.
