Dude, I'm gen-x and have started a few small businesses in my life, one with a decent amount of regulation surrounding it. Most of the economy isn't wizardry. It's just normal people providing normal goods and services using a little skill and wisdom. If you don't have the wisdom, you can find a mentor. Just pick anything that requires a license, learn it for a while and then go out on your own.

If boomers have an advantage, it's that they have the humility to do unglamorous work. My girlfriend's dad is a perfect example. He built a plumbing supply company the slow way and has a seven-figure net worth. No passion about it. No saving the world. No programming or AI.
