I thought TSMC and samsung(the only real chip makers with proven track records) are going to be building fabs on US soil. Intel is a dog, the only thing they've accomplished is failure, and there is no reason to believe they can turn this around. Apple fucked them, CPU's are old shit, GPUs and accelerators are the new CPU's, and AMD, NVDA, AAPL are the kings. INTC doesn't even get half the revenue from the supposed new fabs, it's partly owned by Brookfield. They'll lose data center and cloud segments to other players, even AMZN is making their own cloud and data center semicons. INTC is dead money, and it'll only get worse. Not only do they continue to prove they can't execute, or compete, Pat is a liar. Not even a month ago he reaffirmed the "strong healthy" dividend. Then cut it ( which i agree was right for the business) But he still lied and misled shareholders. INTC is a dog. I wouldn't own it, it's worth options a few years out, but it's uninvestable as it is today.

All right, just to get everyone back on board here. CMKM was a way different situation than GameStop. CMKM was a fake mining company that issued shitloads of stock and sold them with fake videos and maps of these precious material mines. Just your classic "I've got a bridge to sell you"-scheme with loads of people buying in. They went big on advertising though. One point that may be remotely related is that they also sold a boatload of synthetic shares over the counter. What the people are still waiting for is settlement money for the fraud case that came after, because as I said: it was just a run-of-the-mill fraud case gone slightly bigger than normal.

I don't know how bad you have to be at reading and understanding information to think this comes close to the naked-shorting situation that's going on here.
