Hi frens, I was in an indie pop band in the early 2000s which did pretty well for itself. We were on a good run and playing shows to like 500-1000 people/night, sold many tens of thousands (if not hundreds at this point) of albums, then fizzled out because of normal industry drama bullshit. But I am still close w/ my bandmate & we started making music again recently.

I'm looking to release some new music and want to take advantage of the NFT space.

My goal: Make enough money to be able to quit my wagie job and make music full time for the next year.

We still have a decent fanbase, like 12k (I know not a ton but it's not bad for being inactive for 10 years) monthly Spotify listeners, etc., so there's some audience. We had some very dedicated fans.

I do NOT want to just take advantage of our fans and sell them some trash. I would like this to be meaningful.

I thought about maybe tokenizing royalty rights, or riffing off Shkreli's WuTang and giving the token owner for each song the ability to "choose their own adventure" for the song (like you can keep it and never release it, or you can release it to the world for free, or just the normal shit we distro it to every single regular streaming/store outlet)... Also thought about working w/ a great artist friend of mine and doing some physical pieces. He sells his art for thousands alone so I think we can do something cool together, but I don't know if it really makes sense.

I am looking for some other creative ideas. What would you want to be able to do with a song NFT?
