Home is not a house, OP.
It's much more than this. I had to come a long way to realize this. Home is where you were born, and you can't deny it. It's your family, your neighbors, it's the goddamn food you eat (assuming OP is not from burgerland). There is a place you are supposed to be, Anon. Home is the culture you were born into.

You can discover different cultures, you can resonate with other people and their way of living but trust me, having such a house with a pool and a decent view of the sea won't feel like home unless you were born in that area. If you move there, you will be a stranger. My bet is that living in such a house, thousands of miles away from your birthplace, surely it would feel extraordinary and fancy and everything, but for how long would that feeling last before it gets replaced by a feeling of strange isolation?
