Why are all the altcoins' values connected to bitcoin? If BTC rises, the others follow. If BTC falls, the others fall. I know someone will say bc BTC was the first and most well-known. But if they really are seperate things running different blockchain technology, then the altcoins really shouldn't change based on whether BTC changes. Plus, people say that BTC price rises bc more of it gets mined over time and it becomes rarer and more valuable. So BTC should reach 100K by x date. Not only is that not true bc the price drops and crashes even as more BTC is supposedly mined as time goes on. But the other alt coins that are newer than BTC and have more time to mine themselves out, are still rising and falling with BTC despite there being different numbers of coins in the world for each blockchain.
