the second closest greenest today is still astronomically more expensive to run than IOTA. basically to provide power to 1 trillion transaction on Hedera it would cost near $1.5 million and only in the 1000 dollars ball park on IOTA.
Taking into account the amount of transaction can and will handle per seconds due to the tangle architecture,to have one transaction go through you need to perform PoW on 2 up to 10 other transaction, the more people are using the network the faster it gets!
