When you buy Gold and Silver, you're cashing out your Fiat for real money.

The average man in any Western Country owns less Silver and Gold than any of his ancestors for the past 5000 years. Nearly all of a modern man's "wealth" is dependent solely on the credit of Governments and Central Banks.

Silver Proof sets will give you one of everything, plus a penny and a Nickel, but they usually have a high premium and they'll lose all numismatic value if you take them out of the packaging. Same goes for Silver uncirculated sets from the 50s and 60s. You could get prestige sets from the 90s which have all the Silver proofs plus a Commemorative Silver dollar, but those have an even higher premium and are difficult to store. You'd be best off buying the coins indicidually at your LCS and buying the materials to make a set online.

Why is the US mint so good at making coins that stack on top of each other so well?

Generic Rounds are essentially one ounce Medallions with the weight and purity stamped on them. Junk is low grade silver coins which used to circulate like pic related.

Whenever I post this one I always get called out about using a Roosevelt dime instead of a merc. I wanted to use the last circulating design for each coin, I'll do one with a merc dime when I get a Standing Liberty Quarter.

I do. It's the same sort of feeling that silences an entire room when a silver dollar is dropped on a table.
