I recently got started in trading stocks and today was my first day. My Robinhood account was set up and I bought some stocks for $6.93 each.. or so I thought. Two seconds after putting in my buy order at 6.93 I get a buy confirmation message.. and paid 7.12 a share. With a stock that ended today at 7.01 I should have made profit, but because of that blunder made loss. What gives? Can anyone explain why Robinhood did this, or offer an alternate brokerage? I like Robinhood for its $0 trade cost because I'm only trading with $100 to start while I get my feet wet investing.

How do I get rich? I'm tired of getting allowance from parents, I want my own money. At least $100 a week is what I want so I can buy some vidya. How do I achieve this? I don't want any manual labor, I want to sit home and do it. How?

Has anyone on /biz/ started their own business, and what is it/ how is it going?

I'm 30 and have an it business in northern va. It's a small shop with 5 technicians and we do a little more than $800,000 per year. I am looking for a way to get me to the next level. Everything I've done to get me here I've learned from books.

I want to find a mentor or find others like me. Bounce ideas off each other.

What's the best way to approach an owner of a fortune 500 or an inc 2000 company? I wouldn't be asking much. Maybe 30 minutes every other week or so.

What about finding other business owners? What would be the best way to find them? I do believe in surrounding yourself with successful people in order to be successful.
