Yes. It is the use of BREAD. That makes it so based. Why? Because its a staple of everyone on the planet. A tortilla is not because it is corn based. In a very /fit/ sense it is superior because not as fattening. But the level of variation inherent to bread is unmatched. Tortilla is a good second in my opinion.
