Coca-Cola was a different play. The market cap was less than cash on hand for a depression proof company so a bunch of randos in Florida bought and held. The dividends are just from earnings. The theory with infinite divvies is that GameStop would start issuing monthly or quarterly cash dividends per share and that the hedgies would pay this out of pocket because it would be cheaper than closing. It's a cheatcode for broker shares, but it would still require GameStop to be profitable enough to pay those divvies for everyone on CS unless I've missed something.
