Reddit says stellar needs to capture 20% of the market for international bank transfers to even have a value of $2.5. Is this true?

Been fanatically hodling ETH since april, but my mother happened to ask how my investments were doing at the lowest of lows... I was so tired i told the truth (Ripple and NEM had annihilated my net profits by then, I even had tiny losses). She then went apeshit crazy and demanded to see my initial investment transferred to a "real bank" within a day, threatening to take away my food and insurance (I am a high-school student). So I waited for a tiny correction and sold, hoping to rebuy during the next dip... The dip never came.

If I had kept my mouth shut, I'd have been 6.46702 ETH richer right now -_-
