Am I incorrect to assume ETC has to go up? And question why it's so low, and not already much more expensive?

What's the fucking point of bagholding? I just don't get it.

I understand people who make money off trading or margin trading. Buy low, sell high, bulls and bears, all that crap. I understand people doing arbitrage - they exploit hidden opportunities and get cash. Those doing pumps and dumps - yes, their hands are a little dirty, but it's plain clear how they make money.

But bagholding... What's the point? Most people seem willing to hold their "portfolios" indefinitely and watch them grow in price, but that makes no sense unless you want to get rid of them someday. It's not like they're getting some interest just for holding it. And once you sell it, it's gone and you don't have a portfolio anymore. You're left with nothing to fuss over. Damn it, explain it to me.

If I take some obscure stagnant shitcoin with absolutely zero growth and which is not even listed on Poloniex and Bittrex, and then start shilling the fuck out of it, will it grow to heavens?

Hi, /biz/. I currently have 10 000 idle Canadian dollars. Next week, I'm gonna see a RBC financial adviser to see what I can do with the money.

What kind of homework should I do before the appointment? I'm completely new to /biz/ related stuff.

With technical indicators it basically boils down to this:

(1) you have a trending market: then use momentum techniques that perform well in a trend, i.e. basic SMA-crossovers, MACD, etc.

(2) if market moves sideways, then use the stochastics indicator and other oscillators.

Each group performs well in its market conditions, what separate the losses from the wins is only knowing which one when to implement: i.e. knowing if there is a trend or not.

> so in your opinion what is the best trend indicator? (i.e. ADX, ...)

is it current or long term?

I know that a current asset is up to 12 months and I know that a long-term asset is over 12 months.
