you missed the boat and the overhead and infrastructure is one of the most expensive methods/acre

desu, fren you have to know your region/soil/market, but some simple generalized concepts that work almost anywhere can apply to you regardless of where you are located>
1. permaculture is always a winner> find out what fruits, berries, and nuts, grow and sell well in your region, youll want a diversity and youll want to go with chem free, beyond organic production with the high end consumer market in mind. You can start an orchard and a berry patch relatively cheap and easily.
2.mycoculture is easy, affordable, and highly profitable> repeat the same precautionary steps as above, market, environment, etc. Mycoculture can be done in outdoor, wild simulated enviros, or indoors in controlled enviros for yr round production/profitability>
3.four season greenhouse (passive/active solar)> This is a steady way to produce high value end products, like leafy greens, baby roots, and sprouts for the local high end restaurant scene (local is within 100 mile radius). Efficiency is the name of the game, once you've established what your local market has an appetite for.
5. Flowers sell. Weddings, hallmark holidays, etc. Flowers are a great easy sell, local wildflower collections tend to do really well and are easy to produce, many times the same restaurants that buy ur greens, berries, and mushrooms, will also buy your flowers as table settings.
6. Bees make everything grow.> Bees are highly profitable and also very good for your additional production as they act as a pollinator. Same buyers of the above mentioned products also love paying a premium for good organic local honey.

Everything above is honestly what youd be best suited doing to succeed on 10 acres. You need craft offering with a high profit margin. By doing these offering in craft high end batches you can charge a premium to discerning clientele but you need to dyor and get good.
