I'm Texan and some people here are straight up fucking braindead. Not as bad as the Floridan dumbasses on the beach, but still stupid. Three days ago I drove by a nature preserve and the parking lot / playground was fuller than I've ever seen it. Same with the grocery / liquor stores any time they're open. People aren't regularly wearing PPE either since it's all fucking sold out, but that's true for everywhere I guess.

My county declared all businesses "essential" and tried to block cities from enacting harsher orders (only county in my metro to do this). We have a slightly stricter statewide order now that still leaves the majority of places open. Texas ranks ~35th in testing per capita among the states and there are 90 confirmed active cases in my county of >1 million. We are fucked.
