I'm also just learning about it now. Seems to be a process of analyzing the gamma distribution ie. where hedging activity is being done, in relation to events like earnings, option expiry, etc, so you know when dealers are loading up or unwinding hedges.
You can also look at the price of ATM straddles to work out a range a stock will trade at and sell premium (iron condors, butterflies).
