But the thing is, the guy is a narcissistic fuck who spams social media all day. Half the likes on his "clients" new posts are from him and his staff. It's all a massive fucking grift and this guy is literally raking in the dough.

I've started to create a consulting business for local small businesses in my area. Nothing crazy, just pitch a social media strategy, maybe a new website, and some lead generation. Ask for a $10-$15k investment.
