Guys, need advice

Planning on Med School. I'm interested in BioMed sciences (uni doesn't offer Chem/Bio Eng) , but I heard that the degree is shit as with many science degrees and I'm reconsidering since I want a plan B

I want a degree that isn't useless. Going to do CS, CE, or EE, but I'm not as interested in those fields as i am in bio med atm. Are those fields boring? Lots of people have said it's stale

What do? Take classes that are interesting and get a shit degree with no guarantee of med school and no backup plan? Or throw myself into engineering to get a plan B, but most likely take a hit to my GPA since it's a harder degree and lessen my chances of actually getting into med school.
