I wish I fully understood options, but from what I do understand, if you are buying in, do not try to swing.
1. Just trying to stockpile more stocks at dips is far less risky with volatile stocks that can rebound in the matter of seconds
2. Swing trading is actually counter-intuitive to causing the actual short squeeze as it provides freed up stocks for shorts to cover. VW happened because Porsche didn't sell a single stock and just rode the squeeze.
It's your money, but the only reason why this is working so far is because enough retards have held onto a rocket waiting for takeoff for 2 weeks.
