I see tether is still not fully understood here. Tethers are also needed before a crash when many people flee into USDT. When prices go up and people buy more coins than the demand for Tether actually goes down. How many times did they print Tethers and nothing happened afterwards? Most of the times. Look into it yourself if you don't believe me.

COSS sounds interesting but I'm wondering if this has big long term potential. Their dividends fully rely on the exchange. For that it needs a lot more users. In the overall scheme of cryptocurrencies this concept sounds very niche and single use case to me.
