Cryptocurrencies are like Monopoly money - made up, arbitrary tokens that have effectively no intrinsic value.

Bitcoin will only be valuable for as long as speculators think it's a vehicle to get rich.

The world's major fiat currencies are at least pretty stable because of actions taken by central banks. The value of crypto fluctuates wildly.

I don't see the point in acquiring made up tokens that could lose their value very quickly when people move on to the next fad.

How is it possible for a government to exist under a Bitcoin standard? When you transact using Bitcoin, the government is unable to tax. Governments tax Bitcoin when you exchange it for fiat. But if you only transact in Bitcoin, how can the government take a cut? Does a Bitcoin standard necessarily mean anarcho capitalism?

Brainlet here, it costs money to buy bitcoin, and it doesn't reflect in your credit score, so let's say you save 15k in bitcoin in a year, if it 3x's you have 45k but that depends on basically luck, but if you save 15 in a bank or credit union, you can borrow 45k on top of the money you already have. So ultimately with bitcoin you have to pray it goes up and not down, and maybe you'll come out ahead, with zero gaurantees, with that in mind, sell me on bitcoin and crypto in general.
