Basically computer programming on a contract basis lasting 6-12 months, plan to do some freelance stuff too during uni to support myself while there and for job experience, i figure once i go straight out i can say im semi experienced having done hundreds of projects on freelancer, would just make me a cut above the rest i think.

Dude you should get back to work, work 10 years of hell and live on 150,000 for the rest of your life. Go see a doctor if your jobs affecting your health, im sure he can help you. Just go back out there, its basically sitting on a plate for you to go get, make sure your children are not as poor as you where!
