Hey biz, been super depressed lately and am always dreaming of the day I make it and can leave my entire life behind me. Not sure why else I wake up every day. Most of my depression stems from the way my parents raised me and the feeling that I'm dating a girl that doesn't seem to understand love. I'm the 2nd of 4 children, parents held 2 of my siblings on a pedestal and constantly shunned any friend I brought over no matter how well they had their shit together, this has had some impact on development of social skills. Got a girl pregnant at 16 and parents completely blew up the situation and soured the relationship between her and I, whenever there's a family function and siblings bring their family around my parents are completely gaga over their grandchildren and it eats me up inside. The current gf situation is destroying me inside also. She was raised with alcoholic parents that separated when she was young, her dad wanted nothing to do with his family and her mom was always working to support her and her brother so I feel like she was never shown what it was like to love or be loved. I'm not super clingy but rarely get much if any affection from her. I've talked to her about the way she acts and she's said that she's not the affectionate type but would try, this lasts for a few days at most. I'm not asking for stage 5 clinger status from her just something once in a while that shows me that she's into it. I'm not in bad shape & have a decent paying job, the sex is good and she usually has multiple orgasms but she just plain seems to not care weather or not we ever have sex. On top of that she has a habit of always having to be more right about whatever I try to converse with her about which shuts me down. My brain feels like why put time into someone who has no regard for my viewes or educated opinions. I don't think she's doing it on purpose, she doesn't seem to think about her words before speaking sometimes. We've been together 5 years now...
