even if lightning actually worked you fail to realize that there's a huge cost regardless of transaction fee. the real cost is that you'd have to use lightning with its censorable and centralized payment hubs.

and your channels will either be empty because random people keep using them or i hear you can make your channels private, which is actually even worse because that means the LN is meant to be centralized with backbone channels by design

for now they are almost free because ICO money is used for the production cost. store owners get a part of the transaction fee. when using traditional credit card services they have to pay high fees. they are already shipping hundreds of thousands of their devices since august. they have a monthly coin burn with part of their revenue, like BNB. the first coin burn was this month. i expect another, even bigger bullrun to happen within the next few years and crypto curryencies to be "in" and with the pundi x infrastructure already existing it will be a highly profitable business

initial 15k$ june 2017, put like 20k into bitfinex in october and went ham on margin longing in that bullrun. turned the 20k into fucking 800k peak while having no clue about trading, just all in long all the time. made like 50k every day for a week, and on a single day i made 200k. then, lost almost everything in the flash crash on december 23rd. had a 1 million$ position open and got liquidated, -700k$. after that i started to educate myself about trading but fuck me, i was high for 2 weeks straight after that crash to cope. now i'm at $200k with steady small gains and 100k cashed out to my bank account in december. i there's ever gonna be another bullrun, which i'm pretty sure of, i'll be set for life

You don't understand anon, he chose the option in which less casualties are made. Had he not been involved, crypto as a whole would have crashed with no survivors by the terrifying Bog twins. After the crash people affiliated to the Bogdanoffs like Vitalik "Calciumlet Skelly"(Formerly known as "Money Skelly" circa 2018) Buterin would have no problem mantaining ETH at $7 levels just like he wanted, an outcome only he wants it to happen. Sminem truly is just a misunderstood hero that had to suffer for the sake of crypto, for us.

that's fun, i thought similary in my first bear market. when BTC was at $250 i thought it'll never come back to $1k, but once you'll understand how bitcoin works, you'll find out that it isn't a coincidence. when BTC is worth $100k in a couple years, it's not out of pure luck, it was all predictable. of course, shot term price movement may be manipulated and unpredictable, but long term movement is fucking obvious and easy to predict. even thought i cashed out my initial + enough money to live off for a few years, i'm 100% sure that the money i have in BTC right now will go x100 within the next 10 years

i'm sorry for people buying in at this point because they don't know how it works. if you're reading this and want to buy in, please do. but in a couple weeks when you're wondering how you lost money in this, remember that i told you it's 100% predictable that everyone who buys at this point loses his money and the only people that don't know this have horrible math skills or are completely uninformed

i was always wondering what goes on in the heads of bottom sellers, this example seems reasonable. thanks for the insight OP.
i'm glad i bought BTC in 2015 and don't have to consider such desperate measures right now

>spent the last 2 years learning everything about blockchain
>still hasn't figured out what gives BTC value
i'm 130 iQ and i figured it out within a week. the thought of brainlets thinking BTC price rises magicaly or randomly is hilarious though. you should just give up and become a fucking janitor. and in 5 years when you see BTC's price at $500k you'll be thinking 'damn, BTC price randomly rising again, people who bought it are just gamblers and got lucky'. maybe you'll even blame the jews, who knows. must be depressing not being able to figure out why things really happen most of the time
