Go out more. I picked up archery about 7 years ago. 3 years ago my mom mentioned that my estranged childhood friend on facebook was looking for people to try out archery with. hadn't hung out with him for more then a decade and now we're back to being best friends and doing everything together haha no homo
Also, I ended up meeting a guy from kijiji that was selling a bow and now he invites me to all these archery events and I've been forcing myself to go out and meet people. Last time I went out I ended up chatting with around 20 or so people and felt like I fit in. The dude's kinda like a father figure that actually enjoys my hobby lol

I can't really tell you what to do other then find a hobby that actually exposes you to a community.
