yet btc is the most talked about coin on any of the 3 major crypto forums

it's mindshare among original and new investors is very hard to overcome

first explain to me how a data marketplace could ever exist

if this were possible, why doesn't a centralized one exist right now?

why does there need to be decentralization for the concept of a data marketplace to exist?

my argument: a data marketplace is not a valid marketplace. think about data first. any company that has access to valuable data (that will give them a competitive advantage) they would not want to sell. furthermore, the data that they do have, even if it is not valuable is in a very specific format to their needs either because it was generated from their systems, or because other company's formats are different. if on the other hand a company had data that they would want to sell, then it is implied that they don't know what to do with said data so they list it onto a marketplace (i.e. it isn't as valuable as they thought previously).

FURTHERMORE how is one supposed to price data anyway? are you going to project the returns on using 1TB of user data? how would that ever be practical? it has no inherent value unless it is first put through several systems, of which a company might not even have developed yet to make use of the data in the first place!

data marketplace is unfeasible, awaiting your counter arguments shill
