If banks integrate Chain Link into their payment/settlement systems, and if the token is required for running transactions, what happens if the token moons in price?

Surely the banks want a system where their operating cost is not based on some variable token that could moon in price and affect every single transaction they make?

Can Linkies explain this simply?

>Cybersecurity protections. While almost anything digital can be vulnerable to hackers, cybersecurity protections are especially important for digital assets and DeFi protocols due to the nature of blockchain. Although the underlying blockchain technology makes it difficult to alter data, firms seeking to develop Institutional DeFi solutions must address cybersecurity vulnerabilities in cross-chain bridges, oracles, as well as guarding against market manipulation. Such controls are needed to enhance client trust and protect the safe ownership of digital assets.

I think your speculation is retarded but this is an interesting find. Assuming this is an official BNB developers communication channel and not just some unassociated developer evangelists, this could represent a pivot away from trying to kill Chainlink into seriously attacking ETH. I always thought BNB was just a cheap chinese eth knockoff but if they push hard for Chainlink integration they might become a real competitor. Today, no serious financial institutions would consider BNB as their settlement layer for multi-billion dollar smart contract settlement but after the assassination of "sparring partner" FTX, if they lean heavily into protocol integration of Chainlink services they may be able to attract consideration. Binance probably realized after a few weeks that it would take a fuckton of work to be able to recreate even a fraction of Chainlink services and it'd just make more sense to fucking work together. Could also be a catalyst for the Ethereum Foundation to get their shit together.

Really does make me think though.
