What's the state of the privacy coin market /biz/?
I think privacy is the most useful thing the blockchain can provide, but I don't see much discussion about privacy coins these days.
Is anything interesting happening at the moment?

Damn, took a look at BTC (because it's the weekend and I'm bored) and I'm pretty sure it's about to enter another late 2018 drop in just a few days IF they don't pump it above 9.6k again. TTM squeeze, first one since 09 Nov 2018 just fired.. last time it fired it only took BTC 5 days before it dropped down to 3.1k

Why doesn't Trump reopen debtors prisons? Wouldn't that be a good way to get people to start paying back their debt/student loans instead of what they're doing now which is defaulting and avoiding calls/letters?

This has been a classic bearish retest. Look for the price to plummet to $7700 over the next week. And you're welcome. I usually charge people 0.025 btc a month for this info.

CPA here. I literally just read-only API key my crap and pay $30 for bitcoin.tax to do it. They do mining calcs for you too for the other anon that asked that. Literally easiest thing and have been reporting all my gainz/JUSTs in both long-term and short-term rates.

They even give you a print out of the schedule and you just throw it in a tax software like HR block. So many burgers are going to jail as soon as they cash out

No, youre right that its FIFO but every trade is a taxable event. They dont allow "like kind exchanges" where you can trade a car for another car for example and then defer your gain or loss until you sell it for cash. With crypto, every trade is a taxable event.

But its easy as feck now to just api key your exchange to bitcoin.tax. thats what I use. Only had to adjust it a little bit ($0 Bitcoin cash cost basis for instance)
>t. CPA thats not a swinglinker for dem favorable long term capital gains rates

I really expected this place to be a lot more pink considering the fact that crypto as we know it has come to a screeching halt and it will never be the same. But then again, this place isn't known for it's intelligent investors.

Assuming 8% of Mt gox coins recipients want to sell their coins immediately, that's 13,280 coins. In 2018, it only took marketing selling 6,000 at a time to completely tank the market 30% each time. If you extrapolate that out, we're looking at a 67% drop within 3 days of the coins going out. Does that sound about right?

Other activity to note. A whale would out up a large buy wall and hold it for some time before pulling the order, selling into it. This caused people's stop sell orders to trigger at the price that just was sold through. These were instantly bought up each time. They have done this many times over the past two days.
