A depressing number of superficially "middle class" families have less than 2% of their annual income in savings. It's very common for parents from a middle class family to encourage their kids to take on massive debt to pay for school instead of helping out, even as they take on debt to pay for a bigger house, newer car, vacations, etc. The idea is the kid will do the same and repeat the cycle
Based rural families like mine aren't this retarded and live frugally, amassing wealth and going from poverty (grandparents) to multimillion dollar land holdings in just two generations. Same goes for my friends from based immigrant families
I always admire mindsets like yours anon--it's the way my European great-grandparents thought. You would do very well over here if you ever decided to come
