China isn't the best place to live, southeast asian countries like Singapore and Malaysia are better. Outside of these two countries nothing compares to western European and North American countries ,maybe some countries in the Balkans or small places like Georgia, Monaco or the Cayman Islands, Dubai etc... Anyway you can never get a citizenship in some of the great countries, and some EU countries offer visas with tax exemption which are good to live in if you're rich. I mean unless there's hyperinflation they'll be revalued at some point in the future because the assets the EPS the dividends are growing. Doesn't matter if you buy a cheap stock and in crabs for 5 years and then proceeds to go up 200% in the next 3 years, and said stock has a dividend of 4% p.a. It comes to ~28% annual return in the end even though the stock did nothing for 5 years.

I'm not Arguing that these emerging market companies are long term holds, I'm just arguing that they are so depressed relative to the US market there will be a rotation at some point into these emerging markets that could last a few years pushing these stocks 200-300% higher to a more normal valuation of like 10-15 times earnings, or a so called reversion to mean. It has happened many times before when the US market becomes so overvalued and emerging markets are so cheap in comparison that money starts to rotate out of the us into emerging markets (I'm not only talking about China).
