You don't realize that mining calculators assume the current block difficulty. What happens to this difficulty once 96% of all GPU hashrate move to these smaller chains? It skyrockets meaning GPU mining becomes extremely competitive. Only miners with free electricity can continue and even they will be multiple times less profitable compared to ETH. GPU mining will be 96% dead after the merge and there's no place for all or even a big part of this hashrate.

GPU and Ethash ASIC mining total rewards will be around 3% after Eth mining stops. All miners can't switch to other chains because there are too little rewards paid out and these fixed block rewards don't increase with hashrate. This means GPU mining will become much more competitive and its profitability will plummet.

There will be A LOT of hashrate competing for very tiny rewards. GPU mining will be 99% dead and miners will sell their GPUs. Ethash has ASICs.
