Eastern Europe is unironically wealthier than Western Europe, people are simply not paying their taxes and hiding their assets (they go for gold, jewelry, etc). Most own 1+ apartment, and even the commieblock ones are worth 100k euros min.

Banks hate crypto.
RAKBANK claim they work with Kraken, but you need 6 month of salary data to even open an account there.
So the 1%-2% I claimed is about services that can put your money in the bank.
If you don't want the money in the bank and can survive on cash (which btw is easy here) you can simply go to 488ex, the fee is still around 1%. Found the guy on coinatmradar, it's not an ATM but they're legit and allow you to cash out to actual cash, as long as you give them the heads up 1 day in advance.

Also even though that banks are very anti-crypto, there's 2 new e-bank services coming up which I think will be very crypto-friendly. One is called Zand, the other is Wio, you can easily google them. Basically Revolut clones, but local, and built with crypto in mind. By the time you arrive they should be available already.
