They're really cool but their authenticity is tougher to verify. It's almost the type of market you'd need a knowledgable collector in Japan to help you out with.

it's mostly just b8. there's a pretty lengthy market history of cel-based animation (about 80 years) so the prices of famous works are relatively predictable.
Pokemon cards definitely have some kind of value from a nostalgia standpoint but I'm not sure what they'll be worth long-term. It's not like Magic where the game itself is still popular, though I admittedly don't know much about trading cards of any kind aside from owning them in my youth.
