Huh. Market looks like it is going straight down, yet my stocks pre market aren't just green but BRIGHT green. Well then...um, yay? I guess I can look for cheapies then today if this doesn't disappear on open.

being a good lemming makes money. You miss 20-30% of a stock's rise from its bottom but catch the latter 100% still. Trying to plan ahead just gets you into dead stocks that do nothing, little, or go down despite being 100% right in it deserving to go up. Better to FOMO and make money now than be right and have to wait months for money.

Luck. Unironically. Stock market is gambling, you are either on a small hump or THE momentum ride to the moon. Don't go in after like a day or two only, but at the same time don't wait an entire month unless the charts show it has been straight up for the entire time. Market is gambling, technicals don't matter beyond "chart be up" or "chart be down," and have multiple positions rather than just 2 so any losers are outweighed by winners.

This. I get out early too, but better than sticking for a crash, put the money in other stocks going up.
