See, business informatics ranks pretty high on the average potential earnings when compared to other academic fields. So a priori it isn't a bad choice, if you goal is to make a good living. I'm not saying that you cant earn more otherwise, I just look at the statistics.
If monetary gain isn't your goal then so whatever I guess.
What do you struggle the most with? Mathematical fundamentals? This will be less and less important the further you go in your studies. Try to get internships in big companies and do your bachelor's degree in the industry. This will increase your likelihood of a direct employment after greatly.
