Ok let's be real here... let's say you went all in on NVDA 3 years ago... you 10x your money.
If you DCA for 3 years you would do pretty well until Q1 2023, and you really wouldn't have much else to show for it. Half of your shares would be around the 10x mark, and the rest of them would be worth less than 5x after Q1 2023 and showing exponentially less gains.

Okay, so that's not that bad right? Gains is gains...

Now for the GME scenario... You go all in 3 years ago you 30x your money, assuming you bought before the sneeze. If you sold the sneeze, well congrats you made a lot of money, if you held until the sneeze then at the very bottom you 3x. Now for DCA... it's a little different, if you're gonna DCA GME then your average is going to get better almost linearly for 3 years, which is better than the DCA you get from NVDA, except you just won't realize it until another breakout.

Anyway none of that really matters that much. The important thing here is that you could have made some money brain dead buying a stock that will eventually crash 3 trillion dollars, or you could have spent 3 years learning the market inside out and making the most insanely calculated play in market history, which is going to go down as the single biggest financial event of all time.
