So what's the basis for the latest SIGA fud? It seems based on the perception that the outbreak is slowing, media coverage has dropped off, and FDA is more interested in pursuing vaccines than antivirals. Is that it?
Cases will explode when schools start up in the next week, then media will abandon the narrative that monkepox only affects fags, and SIGA will reach ATHs.
Dips in picrel follow a trend. Nothing about this outbreak has fundamentally changed.
There are also huge discrepancies in the number of reported cases, Wikipedia says we've passed 50k cases but monkepoxmeter says we're at 42.7k. This contributes to the perception that things have slowed down
