Just like every other chain, I bet it is easier to make a token on eth than on hathor.
Scratch that, I know it is. By that logic hathor should be values 0

My favorite chain for tokens chain was when the ravencoins were too stupid to add smart contracts so they just added ability to launch tokens and then claimed it will be the main chain for tokenization

In a world where L1s are dying due to being centralized or not scalable, devs have finally started to deliver innovations that can eliminate the main issue with crypto, storing transactions. The solution? Decentralized layer 2s that settle to ETH, the only chain worth using. Future roadmap items will help said layer 2s with posting more data on chain, the solution? Just delete them after they are settled.
However, I think the problem of a decentralized base layer still needs to be solved, many newer projects specializing things from simple trading to being the data layer for other L2s still opt for Proof of Stake and some kind of BFT consensus which usually limits node count.
The future seems to be moving into one direction, and we don't yet know what happens if we succeed, ask yourself what will happen if millions of L2s settle to a single data availability layer. I'm investing into this future, but I don't like it just yet, and I'm not sure if I will until there is serious focus on decentralization and reducing complexity.
Even other solutions that lean more into the monolithic approach are looking to sacrifice some scalability for user experience on the base layer, near.

In a world where L1s are dying, it simply makes too much sense to look into a chain that is meaningfully decentralized, a chain that is the furthest thing from complex, and a chain that allows for an approach to scaling without an upper bound. Yes, for now it's just one execution environment on the base layer. Yes, the user experience needs to be solved on the users' end. AND YES, the team is made up of out of touch boomers that are incapable of putting into words what I just explained, muh layer H.

But what if this changes, what if we can save her.

Everything I have ever said in /pmg/ is ironically unironic.
