Ok.

The best argument against communism probably comes down to two factors. One, the transhistorical nature of ideology means that consciously coordinating the economy by any ex ante means is impossible. This was one of Marx's key hopes, and to the extent he did describe communism it included this aspect of ex ante planning.

Two, there is no organizational form in a large industrialized society capable of sustaining mass power that would facilitate both expropriation of the capitalist class, any conflict that would ensue as a result, and the running of an advanced industrial economy. The impossible part is not the idea of a mass organization having economic or political power, it's a mass organization maintaining the discipline necessary for orderly expropriation or fight a modern military conflict if necessary. And it is completely unknown if an organization capable of such orderly expropriation and effective military performance can transition to or create such a mass democratic organizational form.

Your turn.
