>Indonesia knows where the money's at for sure. Western economies would do well to follow suit with more environmentally sustainable coal production
Absolutely!

>The contentious debate over whether liquefied natural gas is cleaner than coal has been elevated by President Joe Biden’s move to halt approvals of gas export terminals

I'm hoping for a win for coal. Or maybe both coal and gas lose because the greens are twats.

It's God's gift to us to improve our lives, I guess. Coal is indeed marvelous. I love it. I love mining it. I love working in an industry where I can help shape the future of the mining industry and fight the crazed greens.

Pan Man, this is something I've been wondering for years, but I hesitate to ask on mining forums because it'll likely make a lot of people butthurt mad.

Do you think mining safety regulations have gone too far in the West and have made mining here less attractive than just getting resources from the third world?

I've known coal miner safety guys who've admitted as much to me, but they have to say it softly, of course.

SAFETY FIRST, after all. It's almost like some people have made a religion out of safety in mining.

I agree with it, but wonder if it has gone too far, what with people -- heavy smokers -- claiming black lung after a few years in the mines.

Maybe I should start posting coal porn. Problem is, it pretty much all looks the same, except for that peacock anthracite.
