>Covering the financial year to 30 September 2020, this GLD 10-K should be raising alarm bells at the SEC given that the Principal Financial and Accounting Officer (CFO) who signed off on it, Brandon Woods, had only been in the CFO position at the GLD Sponsor for one day prior to GLD’s financial year-end. Woods was appointed on 29 September 2020.

CFO of GLD left one day before she would have had to sign off on the 10-k filing. New CFO signed off having been there one day. Very suspicious.

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/amid-gold-market-turmoil-hsbc-taps-bank-england-gld-bars

If you don't want to read the whole thing this is the important bits:

>This means that during April, HSBC used nearly 46 tonnes of gold stored in the Bank of England gold vaults to add to the SPDR Gold Trust, instead of using gold at HSBC’s own commercial London vault. And why is this important? It’s important because it implies that:

>a) there isn’t enough gold in the HSBC vault in London to fulfill SPDR Gold Trust basket creation requests from GLD Authorized Participants (APs).
>b) that gold which is ultimately borrowed central bank gold at the Bank of England is being used as a source of GLD gold holdings.
>c) that there are physical gold float shortages in the London physical gold market as well as liquidity problems of LBMA market makers in the London paper gold market.

It's decentralized digital Fiat. Works well for moving money cross borders and outside the financial system. It's not gold though. We'll see how it works when shit hits the fan but I'm hedged for any outcome.
